A Good Real Estate Agent

Many home buyers ask the same question, “Why is it so hard to find a good real estate agent?” I know that trying to find an agent to support you and help pick out the perfect home can be difficult so here are some small suggestions to help your decision making along. There are lots of good
agents out there but not every agent is the one for you. A great way to start would be by looking for referrals from friends or family members who have previously used an agent. Alternatively it can also be good to check out Trulia and Zillow (now Zillow-Trulia by way of the recent merger) ratings for
individual agents. These personal referrals and online recommendations can range from negative to wonderful experiences but it will help you narrow down what assets you may or may not be looking for in an agent.

It can also prove very important to work with an agent that understands your individual wants and needs. Most homebuyers have a want and need list in mind and they should help you find homes that not only include these items but also fit your budget. You need to be able to communicate any concerns, questions or issues during the home buying or selling process so it is imperative that you choose an agent that makes a concerted effort to understand you and your personal situation, rather than one solely interested in a quick sale.

You can often find a great agent by doing some face-to-face research as well. Start by locating brokerages in your area and then select an agent from there. Most agents have their background and business history available on the websites so you can choose the one that seem to be the perfect choice for you based on their credentials. From there you can book an appointment to meet with the broker and he/she can most likely be able to select one of their agents they believe would be the best choice for you based on you individual needs and preferences. By doing some of these simple things it can turn the earlier question of resignation into the positive: “Why didn’t I use this agent sooner?” We like to think at the RE/MAX Bishop Group that we are those agents that will make the difference to your housing needs today, tomorrow and into the future. But don’t take my word for it, do your research and also ask around about us, you will not be disappointed. Contact us today about building our partnership together.
